About Design Engineering Laboratory
Design Engineering Laboratory consists of 3 sub-laboratories, Yamato Laboratory of the Graduate School of Frontier Sciences, Masuda Laboratory of the Graduate School of Engineering, and Shirayama Laboratory of the Center of Engineering.
At Yamato Laboratory, we carry out some research topics such as On Demand Bus, Logistics and Human Factor, while at Masuda Laboratory, we are paying attention in Digital Process Modeling, Production Facility Modeling and Advanced 3D Modeling research areas. Other research topics such as Digital Value Engineering and Socio-network Analysis are conducted at Shirayama Laboratory.

Our research on television
On July 16,2005, one of our projects called “Analysis of ship near-miss example” was introduced on “Science Zero”a television program of NHK education channel. → Link to Science Zero website
